Founded in 2008 by Tim Flanagan and Melissa Friedland, GreenLight Engineering began as two experienced engineers with a shared goal of raising the bar for sustainable electrical engineering and lighting design in the Denver area and throughout the Southwestern U.S. Today we continue to provide exemplary service and award-winning design to a wide range of projects in scope and scale. Melissa studied Architectural Engineering at the University of
Colorado, Boulder
before beginning her career in Southern California, where she gained
valuable
engineering skills at a top MEP firm.
There she
learned how to design building
systems exceeding the rigid CA energy standards. She is
dedicated to
designing
building systems that are environmentally responsible. Her studies,
emphasizing
both Construction Management and Lighting Design, created a great
foundation to
effectively combine her design eye with practical skills. She has built a
substantial
and award-winning design
portfolio. She takes great pride in providing a valuable
service to every design team. Tim studied Electrical Engineering at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas, then over a decade gained valuable experience designing some of the nation's largest and most complicated facilities in Las Vegas and throughout the Southwestern United States. His experience ranges across a wide variety of markets and project scale. He strives for excellence and brings valuable experience to every project to ensure each design is cost-effective, practical, accurate, and sustainable. He is a problem solver and contributes innovative ideas to each unique building design. |
